Dubya Tee Eff

Okay... so in our last episode, Little Man had a bout of gastrointestinal funk. He seemed okay by the next morning, though we've kept his meals light (and bland-colored) just in case.

Late yesterday afternoon, though, I started feeling kinda yucky... it was a pretty important night for our church family -- more on that later, Lord willing -- so I couldn't be terribly surprised that I "happened" to start feeling sick thirty minutes before we were going to start. I prayed that if I had some bug that absolutely had to be expelled from my body, that we be able to have our meeting before it hit. Sure enough... I was running up and down the stairs to our bathroom (I love my roommates too much to use theirs in this case) until I got so worn out from puking that I just wadded up a towel under my head and lay down in the bathroom floor. I haven't gotten sick again today but I haven't felt back to normal either.

Tonight, Little Man had an explosive diaper. An hour later, he threw up again. Wiping his face, I noticed an odd little raised patch and wondered whether he had a rash setting in.

Whatever it is, I've discovered it's also in large patches on the top of my right leg and on the back of my arm...

So, yeah, we'd appreciate all the prayers you're willing to send up. I'll post an update soon, provided my fingers don't fall off.

Not sure I want to mention it, Karina & Ethan are puking too. I thank God for our hardwood floors (and that my older kids can now "make it" to the bathroom-that much less puke to clean up). Raised patches, hmmmm. I'll be on the lookout anyhow. Hope y'all are feeling well soon. I gave both kids oscillococcinum (homeopathic remedy for flu). It's the first time we've used it, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Crap. Crappity crap crap crap! There's nothing tougher than being a SAHM (which you are now, BTW), being sick yourself, then having to care for sick kiddos. I've already created a Medal of Motherhood for you, I've just been hanging onto it until the right occasion presented itself. I think it's time!

I love you, my sister, and I continue to lift you up.

Ewww, I second what Erin said.
Truth was sick on Sunday, but just high fever. She never threw up. But I have held sick little ones while they threw up and in between I took my turn hurling all my dinner. NOT FUN! I hope you get better soon and your son too.
OK so you definitely should get some kind of reward after all this- at least a night out with your husband ;-).
Hang in there, it will pass.
love,
ann
