The Best Math Ever

My new roommate, her daughter and I went down to the school administration building this week to finish submitting paperwork that would allow one to teach advanced math and the other to enroll in first grade. Walking back across the parking lot, her daughter started asking age-related questions. This part was too classic not to pass along:

Mother: Your Daddy is twenty-three years older than you. So, for example, when you turn seventy-seven, your daddy will be a hundred years old.

Daughter: When I turn seventy-seven, how old will you be?

Mother (staring straight ahead with a smile): Twenty-nine.
