Extended Cycle

My youngest new roommate and I were sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch when a sound coming from the garage got her attention. "What was that?" she inquired. I explained that I'd put some laundry in the washer earlier, and the buzz was the cycle signal telling me my clothes were done.

Her eyebrows shot up. "Already?" she asked. "At my house it takes about two days."

If I hadn't been laughing so hard, I could have told her mine would too if my other roommates didn't need to use the washer and dryer...
